Thank you Dizzy  :thumbup. I have a long Handle with a cleaning Pad on the end that gets to the bottom of the tank to clean the acrylic and all round the tank. I cnt take the rocks out and clean them because there are siliconed in so i have 4 cat fish to help with the algae.

You can't keep those fish in that tank I'm afraid.
It's far too small for the fish you are keeping and IMO a bit cruel.
Look after your water and your fish look after themselves.

That looks great particularly the rock.  Interesting how the fish use the depth.  In many ways it's everything an aquarium(particularly for Africans) shouldn't be = deep with a small surface area, but yes a superb job and it's certainly different.

I have to agree with stiggy, The shape and size of your tank is not adequate for your current stock especially the Frontosa as they need at least a 5ft to 6ft tank with a good size group.

It's totally wrong. I don't know who has given you advice on this tank, hopefully noone on this forum but I would seriously reconsider keeping those fish in that tank.

It doesn't matter how long you've had them in there. That tank is the wrong tank for those fish and the bigger they get the worse it will be.

This in my opinion is wrong mate. Needs to be a tank with a much larger footprint, for the fonts over 5ft. It would be great for a small marine tank maybe, but not for cichlids.

Is there any cichlids you would recommend keeping in this tank then?

I would turn that into a freshwater tank maybe mate, cichlids need a large foot print to set out territories

Yeah i I Understand what your saying Aussiebloke! but im going to keep cichlids in this set up, im taking het frontosa out and the biggest Pseudotropheus Callainos this week, them to are only the to biggest cichlids in my tank so with them out it will make a difference.

00Grisenth this is a very nice tank but as said above wrong for the fish you have in it buddy. I know its not nice to hear people telling you what to do but we are passionate about fish and want the best for all. I'm not having a go at you but think of it this way, would you keep a fully grown German Sheppard in a cage all its life?? its the same thing in my eyes. I know I'm being a %*"& but id sell that tank. You would have much more enjoyment out of a 5ft or 6ft tank and I'm sure you would sell the tank. Once you have you may not have to fork out much more to get a suitable one. Again not having a go at you just we want our fish to thrive not survive.
