Black spots spreading on Red Zebra
« on: March 04, 2019, 07:00:00 PM »
Hi all I am new to this forum and need some help please. I brought home a red zebra from the lfs about 2 weeks ago. A couple days after adding it to my 55 gal he started to develop small black blotches that are getting bigger. The EB johanni I bought in the first batch of fish, that I introduced about a month ago, died after a week of trying to eat but spitting food out. That was the only symptom until the day he died. That day he wouldn't even try to eat and barely moved from the bottom of the tank. A friend recommended general cure but after 2nd dose these black spots are still spreading and a few of the fish are flashing a little. I figured it's the larvae from either gill flukes or some external parasite. Should I try paraguard next, something stronger, or just wait and see? I hate adding chemicals needlessly. I tried to attach a picture but the file was too large.
