Hybrids
« on: August 14, 2017, 08:47:48 PM »
These 2 fish came from the same batch of fry from a female firefish, and a male sunshine I expect. I find it interesting that they can be so different coming from the same batch. The yellow fish is also much larger than the pink one. I have 2 of the yellows that look very much alike.

You will have some variation in fish that aren't hybrids as well. Out of one batch of red zebra fry about 15 are a deep orange and about 5 are peach colored. both mom and dad are orange. I suspect there was a peach colored ancestor somewhere in the mix.

That yellow one is a nice looking fish with great colour.
Life is all about options, as long as you have something to look forward to, there is no reason to look back...now where can I put the next tank?

Yea, he's cool looking. I have two, and hopefully they will get along.
