Do Labidochromis caeruleus and chisumulae x-breed?
« on: November 08, 2016, 04:24:44 PM »
Hi, just wondering if I add chisumulae to a tank also holding caeruleus is there a high chance they will x-breed. Could there be friction between the barred male and the Cyno jalo reef. In a word is it likely to be more trouble than it is worth?

IMO, yes.
1) They are both Labidochromis, very possible they will X-breed.
2) Both females are light in color and solid (non-stripped), so males may not care.
3) Two "Blue-Barred" fish in the same tank is never a good idea.
